A Green Way to Print
Digital toner printing is a win for the planet! It supports sustainability goals by using less energy and producing fewer emissions than traditional methods.
How Does Digital Toner Printing Work?

The HP Indigo 50000 uses a special ink to create high-resolution images. The ink is loaded into the press as a concentrated paste and automatically diluted with oil inside the machine, creating a fluid mixture ready for printing.
It transfers the image from a drum to a heated blanket, then presses it onto the paper…just like offset printing but fully digital. The ink is dry almost as soon as it hits the paper, there’s no need for drying time which speeds up production. It also supports variable printing and a wide variety of paper types, making it flexible for all kinds of projects.
What Type of Ink Does Digital Toner Printing Use?
HP Indigo ElectroInk is a unique liquid ink technology that uses electrically charged pigment particles suspended in a liquid carrier. These particles are guided by precise electrical fields to form high-resolution images with sharp edges and smooth gradients.
ElectroInk is pigment-agnostic, meaning it can be mixed to produce a wide range of spot colours, covering up to 97% of the Pantone spectrum. It’s also known for its durability…prints made with it can last up to 54 years indoors without noticeable fading, and over 200 years in dark storage conditions.
