Earlier this year we produced a very cool book called “The Sanctuary of Sound”, a book by Teresa Knox, about The Church Studio…a recording studio in Tulsa, Oklahoma, that started its life as the Grace Methodist Episcopal Church in 1915. In 1972, Leon Russell (part of the famous Wrecking Crew) purchased the church…over the years that followed, artists like Tom Petty, Willie Nelson, Eric Clapton, Stevie Wonder, and Michael Bolton hung out or recorded in the studio, making incredible music.
