As the old saying goes, you can’t judge a book by its cover…but you CAN judge THE cover! The 2023-24 Friesens Cover Contest is back for another year, and we’re excited to see this years’ entries.
We love putting this contest on each year, as it helps us celebrate the creativity, time, and effort that gets put into the design of yearbook covers. It’s never easy to pick the winners, because the submissions are amazing year in and year out!
All schools that design their own yearbook cover will be entered into the Friesens Cover Contest (schools can opt out). Schools with Spring delivery of their yearbooks must have their covers in before December 15, 2023, while schools with Fall delivery must have their covers in before February 15, 2024.
This year the members of our judging panel have keen eyes for design, colour theory, and artistry. Covers will be judged on categories such as creativity, concept, composition, and difficulty, starting with the Regional Awards. The top three winners of each region will then move on to the Nationals for a chance to win $1,000, $500, or $250 for your school. Winners will be announced on April 15, 2024.
