Yearbook Camp 2024 is taking place at the Drury Plaza Hotel in downtown St. Paul, MN, which features an indoor pool and whirlpool, free hot breakfast, and free wi-fi throughout. The hotel is near the Como Park Zoo & Conservatory, the Science Museum of Minnesota, the Minnesota State Capitol and more!
JEREMY MURPHY
Jeremy is originally from Grand Forks, ND. He attended Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD, where he received bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and Communications. He worked as a daily sports reporter for a year at the Gillette News-Record in Gillette, Wyo. then returned to school at Minnesota State University-Moorhead earning a degree in English Education, later completing his Masters of Education in Educational Technology from Dakota State University in Madison, SD. He has also achieved National Board Certification for Career and Technical Education, which includes Arts, Media and Entertainment and Communication and Information Technologies.
Before moving to Southern California in 2019, Jeremy taught English and was a media adviser at West Fargo High School for 13 years. His student media experience allowed him to serve as the regional media association coordinator in the Midwest for a decade. He also served as the Journalism Education Association ND State Director which helped him pass legislation in North Dakota to protect student journalists and media advisers.
Jeremy teaches multimedia courses at San Jacinto High School and advises the award-winning Tiger Media Network. He lives with his wife Tamara and their three daughters in Southern California but they enjoy visiting the Midwest whenever possible.
EVAN KEHLER
Evan has been a proud Employee-Owner with Friesens for over nine years. In that time, he has gained a tremendous amount of knowledge and expertise from varied positions including production, customer service, and print sales. Throughout his career, Evan has built lasting relationships with yearbook advisors from high schools across North America, as well as prestigious institutions such as Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Acadia University, and Ramapo College (just to name a few).
Now serving as your local Friesens rep in the Twin Cities, Evan’s goal is to understand what motivates your yearbook team and provide the necessary tools and tailored support you need to capture the year and share your best story with the world!
