Join us at the Anaheim Mariott Suites, just a mile from Disneyland, where you’ll work with industry experts and the Friesens team to build your style guide for your upcoming yearbook. Attend three days of sessions, then take your newfound skills out to the theme parks and put them to the test!



Katie Moreno
Katie Moreno (MJE) spent 6 years building an award-winning journalism program and is now an education consultant, as the founder of Organized Adviser. She is passionate about creating highly-interactive and hands-on learning experiences for publication staffs. But when she’s not nerding out over yearbooks, you can find her 50 feet deep scuba diving, collecting pins from every city she visits, or drinking too much iced coffee.

Mark Murray
Mark Murray retired in 2019 after 5 years at the Arlington Independent School District in Arlington, Texas. For the past 36 years, he has served as the President and now Executive Director for the Association of Texas Photography Instructors.
He has taught workshops from Austria to Hawaii and everywhere in between and worked with staffs around the country to improve their photography.
Murray is a Joseph M. Murphy and Gold Key recipient from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association, has received a Pioneer Award from the National Scholastic Press Association, has been presented the Carl Towley, Medal of Merit and Lifetime Achievement awards by the national Journalism Education Association, has been named a Trailblazer and Texas Treasure by the Texas Association of Journalism Educators, the Interscholastic League Press Conference in Texas has named him one of 75 Texas Legends of Scholastic Journalism and ATPI has presented him with their highest honor, the Star of Texas award.

Registration Includes: all sessions, dinner on July 11th, and lunch on July 12th.
