Friesens Employee Directed Giving Gives To Siloam Mission August 13, 2020

On behalf of the Employee-Owners of Friesens Corporation, we are pleased to inform you that we recently donated $1,900 to the Siloam Mission. Attached is a picture of the cheque presentation – pictured is CEO Jim Bell, accepting the cheque from employee-owner Cameron Fay.

Judy Leiman, Legacy Giving and Donor Relations Coordinator for Siloam Mission made this statement in an email, “Siloam could not do what we do without our donors.”

One of the core values of Friesens is to help build a stronger community. We invest in the community through both cash donations and by supporting our employees as coaches, youth leaders, fundraisers, and many other important volunteer roles.

Friesens Corporation sponsors numerous initiatives every year from the local level to the national level. We focus on literacy, culture, education, environment, history, care, and recreation.

Through our “Employee-Directed Giving Program” each employee voted for which local organizations they felt would benefit the most from Friesens charitable giving. The donation amount is correlated to the number of votes the recipient organization received.

Chad Friesen, President and CEO said, “While Siloam isn’t in our physical community, they are an important part of the Manitoba community. We are proud to support their work to build a stronger community for all of us.”
