Wire-O Binding

A Twist of Elegance

Wire-O binding (also known as twin-loop binding) offers a sleek finish for a wide range of publications. The metal loops come in a variety of finishes, so if you’re showcasing your brand or organizing your ideas in a journal, this binding style turns every page into a statement.

What is Wire-O Binding?

Wire-O binding uses a C-shaped metal spine that is threaded through evenly spaced holes punched along the binding edge of a book. The spacing and number of holes depend on the size of the book and wire gauge being used, commonly 3:1 (three holes per inch) or 2:1 (2 holes per inch). Once inserted, the wire is crimped closed to form round loops that securely hold the pages together.

Versatile

Like plastic spiral binding, Wire-O binding supports a wide range of trim sizes and page counts. You can also choose the wire colour and finish, like silver, black, and bronze. The binding’s structure supports high-quality paper and custom cover options.

Strong & Secure

The double-loop wire structure is highly durable and keeps pages securely in place, even with frequent handling. This makes Wire-O a reliable option for books used in demanding environments.

Layflat & Fold Back Functionality

One of the most practical advantages of Wire-O is its ability to lay completely flat when open, or fold back on itself without damaging the spine.
