We’re excited to share that the Employee-Owners of Friesens Corporation are continuing to support local businesses and organizations through our Employee-Directed Giving campaign!
At Friesens, we love backing initiatives that matter to our employee-owners, whether it’s promoting literacy, education, health and safety, environmental concerns, cultural awareness, or hands-on volunteering.
This year, through our employee-directed giving campaign, we were thrilled to donate a total of $60,000 to the following organizations:

- Genesis House (Winkler)
- Blue Sky Opportunities
- Kiddie Sunshine Centre
- Furever Friends
- The Community Exchange
- Winkler Bible Camp

- Special Olympics / Altona Panthers
Our “Employee-Directed Giving Program” lets every employee vote for a local organization they think deserves Friesens’ charitable giving the most. The number of votes directly affects the donation amount received by the organization. Our employee-owners also love volunteering their time to present the cheques, as you can see in the photos below.
Friesens has been part of Altona for over 118 years, and we’re honoured to give back through these donation and sponsorship programs, helping our community, local businesses, and families grow and thrive together.
