Kolbus and Kluge Foil Stamper

You might have noticed that most
of our equipment sports a Kolbus logo. This is another example of
the fine machines made by this company.
The Kolbus stamper is designed to take the covers made at the case makers and stamp an image on the cover. This is accomplished by installing a "Foil Cut" into the machine and heating the cut to a high temperature. A sheet of foil is draped across the cut and with heat and pressure an image is stamped onto the cover. The foils come in rolls and in a variety of colours and are supplied to us by an outside vendor as are the Foil Cuts. The maximum impression area is 16 ½" X 14", with a maximum cover size of 26" X 16".
